What we collect

Account. Your email, name, and a sign-in identifier when you sign in with Apple or Google. Used only to authenticate you.

Body data. Measurements you enter (bust / waist / hips / height / inseam / shoulder / torso) and a body-type label, used to ground outfit recommendations. Stored encrypted on our server.

Photos. Wardrobe-item photos, Mirror Check selfies, Color Analysis selfies, and optional Body Scan photos you choose to provide. Wardrobe and Mirror Check images are stored in a private Amazon S3 bucket. Color Analysis and body-type-classification photos are processed and discarded — never persisted.

Worn-outfit history. Outfits you log via Mirror Check or OOTD, plus wear logs and ratings — used to improve recommendations and power Monthly Wrapped.

Usage events. Which screens you visit, when you log fits, and which recommendations you save or skip — used to make recommendations smarter and measure product health.

Location (optional). If you allow it, your approximate location is used once to determine the current weather season for Color Analysis. We never store your coordinates — only the derived season label.

Calendar (optional, on-device only). If you turn on "Calendar-aware mornings," the app reads today's events on your phone only to phrase your morning outfit notification (e.g. "Dinner at 7 — want a look?"). Your events are never sent to our servers, never stored, and never shared. Off by default; turn it off anytime in Me → Privacy.

What we don't collect

How we use it

We use your data to personalize recommendations, render your wardrobe and Wrapped, surface trending colors and silhouettes, and run the Mirror Check assessment. We do not sell or rent your data to anyone, ever.

Anonymous taste patterns (opt-in). If you enable "Help improve recommendations," we also learn from aggregated, anonymous style patterns across users with similar taste — a mathematical average only. No individual's items, photos, names, or identity ever cross between accounts, and turning the toggle off stops your data contributing.

Third parties we work with

Anthropic (Claude). Receives the text and images needed to generate outfit assessments, recommendations, and clothing tags. Your data is not used to train their models without explicit opt-in.

fal.ai. Receives wardrobe and outfit images to generate background-removed clean versions for display. Processed transiently, not retained beyond the request.

Amazon Web Services. Hosts the private image bucket and the database.

Apple & Google. Provide Sign in with Apple and Google sign-in.

RevenueCat & Apple. Handle subscription billing for StyleSage+ when you choose to upgrade. We never see your card details.

Sentry. Receives server-side error reports (stack traces and request metadata only — no personal data intentionally included).

We send your photos to these AI providers only to deliver the features you request, and only after you grant permission the first time you use a photo feature. Each provider is contractually bound to protect your data with safeguards equivalent to ours and to use it solely to perform the service on our behalf — not for their own purposes.

AI processing consent

Before your first photo is sent to our AI providers (Anthropic and fal.ai), the app asks for your explicit permission and names exactly what is shared and with whom. You may decline; photo features will not run until you agree.

Body measurements are retained up to 12 months from your last update, then anonymized. Wardrobe items and outfit history are retained while your account is active. Account deletion triggers full removal within 30 days, including from backups after a further 90 days.

We'll update this page when our practices change and bump the "Last updated" date above. Material changes are also surfaced in-app.
